Shri Satish Jamdar
is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from IIT Bombay with additional qualifications in Systems Management from NIIT, and Management Studies from UK and USA. He has over four decades of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, general management and IT projects, having worked for Siemens Ltd, BPL-Sanyo Ltd and Alstom Ltd, before joining Blue Star in 1996.
Satish has spearheaded the establishment of Blue Star’s modern manufacturing facilities in Dadra, Himachal, Wada and Ahmedabad. He was also responsible for the Service business, International Operations, Corporate Finance and Human Resources. Satish was promoted as Executive Director in 2003, and as Deputy Managing Director in 2007, before taking over as the Managing Director of the Company in 2009. He oversees all the operations and support services of the Company.
Satish is also a Director of Blue Star Electro-Mechanical Ltd. He is a past Chairman of the CII Maharashtra State Council, and is currently Chairman of the CII-Western Region Affirmative Action Committee, as well as a member of the CII National Manufacturing Council.

He, besides being a qualified Banker (Certificated Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers), is a Management Graduate (FCMA) and holds PhD in Rural Industrialisation. He has held senior positions of corporate head of finance & C.E.O. of public sector corporations. He also held foreign assignments with African countries. Dr. Kumar possesses long experience of dealing with promotion, development and financing of MSMEs, exports and other small & large projects. He has been a member of “The National Small Business Advisory Council of South Africa” appointed by the Government of South Africa. He has been a visiting faculty for Damelin School of Banking, South Africa and Botswana Institute of Bankers.
Dr. Kumar, has to his credit, scores of publications in the field of promotion and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and been member of various committees of the Govt. concerning issues of the MSME Sector.
